After a Bumpy Ride, Vegas Oddsmakers Settle on Likely 2020 Winner

It’s been a rocky road, and someone likely made a whole lot of money off this race.

While the news media and the states themselves looks to avoid any embarrassing faux pas in the next several hours, the unabashed sports-betting world has no problem telling you exactly what they are thinking.

For much of the day, cable news stations have danced around something they seem to think is obvious:  Donald Trump is going to have a hard time staying in the White House come January.  But, as Twitter cracks down on misinformation, (their words, not mine), CNN, Fox, and Joe Biden himself have refrained from making too definitive a statement.

The closest we got was Neil Cavuto of Fox saying that the “math looks prohibitive” for the President, and the glaring disparity in moods as Van Jones and Rick Santorum sit next to one another on set over at CNN.

But bookies don’t care if you see them smile or smirk, and they’re now overwhelmingly convinced that one candidate is on the path to victory.

2020 Election Odds Updates

3:50 p.m. ET

Joe Biden’s odds to win the 2020 Presidential Election have held steady above the 90% mark. Biden’s odds have increased slowly but steadily as outstanding ballots continue to be counted in four key state: Pennsylvania, Georgia, Arizona and Nevada.

  • Donald Trump: +1100 (8.33%)

  • Joe Biden: -1100 (91.67%)

Biden’s odds were as low as 25% on Tuesday night around 10pm, at a time in which President Trump’s odds were around 74%.

That 74% figure would be the highest that Donald Trump’s chances have gotten throughout the electoral process, according to the Vegas sharks.
