AOC’s latest head-scratcher implies Trump taking ‘bribes’ for war

The tweet comes just days after Nancy Pelosi’s hopes of “imprisoning” President Trump became public.

When it comes to bizarre political rhetoric, there can be but one queen in the Capitol.  Her name is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and for many she has been the comic relief that Washington DC has always needed.

AOC, as she is self-named, began her political career at 28 years old during the 2018 election.  Previous to this, the freshman Congresswoman was a bartender – a point that she likes to delve into when speaking to the millennial masses over which her social media presence lords.

Ocasio-Cortez has long been a a very vocal opponent of President Trump as well, adding to her notoriety.

Now, as the Middle East simmers on the news of Iran’s latest acts of insubordination, AOC has a new conspiracy theory to peddle; that President Trump is being bribed into war.

Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., suggested in a tweet Friday that “powerful people” are attempting to bribe President Trump into war with Iran.

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez quoted a tweet by Washington Post reporter David Fahrenthold which linked to an article that revealed documents obtained from Trump hotels. According to the Post’s report, an Iraqi sheik reportedly stayed at a suite in Trump’s hotel in Washington D.C. for 26 days after urging the Trump administration to take a “hard-line” approach towards Iran in July 2018.

“Sure looks like powerful people are trying to bribe the President into war,” Rep. Ocasio-Cortez wrote.

And, if you believe that AOC’s freshman status nullifies her sway over the electorate, you’d be dead wrong.

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez’s tweet garnered more than 30,000 likes and 7,000 retweets in under five hours, but responses to her statement were varied.

These sort of escalating claims of treasonous behavior are nothing new for the democrats, with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi telling her colleagues this week that she would like to see President Trump “imprisoned” rather than impeached.
