Last week, the movie Avengers: Endgame become the highest grossing film of all time, but that doesn’t mean that everything is copacetic for one of its biggest stars.
Hollywood these days is filled with political opinions and assertions, as the “resistance” to President Trump continues to stew and radicalize. Celebrities from Tinsel Town often command a legion of fans, and their ideas about life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness carry with them an undue gravity. These are not political experts, after all, and their inexperience in the world of diplomacy should negate their more outrageous claims – “should” being the operative term here.
But, increasingly, the actions and ideas of these actors and actresses are poking and prodding their fans into action. When Kathy Griffin was photographed with a realistic prop head of a decapitated Donald Trump, it only took two weeks for a former Bernie Sanders campaign worker to attempt the assassination of the GOP charity baseball team.
These opinions have weight beyond what many of these celebrities can grasp, and that is why they must be extra careful when it comes time to make their thoughts known.
That hasn’t stopped Don Cheadle, however.

The sentiment comes after a lengthy tiff between Cheadle and Trump.
In April, the 54-year-old actor also admitted he wanted to snap Donald Trump out of existence (a reference to a mass murder that occurs in the Marvel movie Cheadle co-stars in). During an appearance on Saturday Night Live in February, Cheadle even wore a hatfor the left-wing activist group Sleeping Giants, which routinely targets Breitbart News and other conservative media by harassing advertisers with false claims about the values such companies stand for.
Avengers director Joss Whedon has previously voiced his own complaints about the Trump administration, claiming sensationally that the President will take the 2020 election “by force” just weeks ago.
