Barack Obama Enlists Hollywood Pals to Help Raise Money for Joe Biden

Lord knows they need all the help that they can get.

We are now less than 100 days away from the 2020 presidential election, and, as expected, the mad dash to the finish line has begun.

This is a strange one, of course, as a global pandemic weighs down the nation amid a cultural revolution unlike anything that we’ve seen since the 1960’s.  Both the Democrats and the Republicans will be dealing with major changes to their national conventions on account of one of these issues or the other, and there is still the off chance that “mail-in” voting could be in play for the general election.

And that doesn’t even take into account the wildly angsty vitriol that we see in our political divide each and every day, which has made this one of the most heated elections in recent memory.

Now, in an effort to help the stumbling, bumbling Biden across the finish line, former President Barack Obama is now enlisting the help of this Hollywood pals.

Former President Barack Obama is being joined by actor and activist George Clooney on Tuesday – for a virtual conversation and fundraiser to raise money for former Vice President Joe Biden.

It’s the second time Obama has headlined a fundraiser on behalf of Biden, his vice president for his eight years in the White House.

The two men teamed up virtually last month for a fundraiser that hauled in $11 million – the 2020 presumptive Democratic presidential nominee’s single most lucrative fundraising event. More than 120,000 people signed up to attend the online event.

Biden has been an abysmal disappointment for the Democrats in 2020, as his rare public and/or virtual appearances have been marred by gaffes and temper tantrums that have cast doubt upon his ability to go toe-to-toe with incumbent President Donald Trump on the debate stage in the coming weeks.
