Bartender-turned-Congresswoman blasts West Wing nepotism in bid for attention

AOC knows how to keep the news cameras on her, that’s for sure.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez certainly understands the power of the daily news cycle.

That’s why, nearly every day, she utters something profound, (or profoundly deranged), in order to keep her name on the tips of the nation’s tongues.  Her latest tirade, aimed directly at the heart of the Trump family, is simply dumbfounding.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) criticized Ivanka Trump on Twitter Saturday after video emerged of her conversing with world leaders at the G20 summit in Osaka, Japan.

It may be shocking to some, but being someone’s daughter actually isn’t a career qualification. It hurts our diplomatic standing when the President phones it in & the world moves on. The US needs our President working the G20. Bringing a qualified diplomat couldn’t hurt either.

The video was posted to Twitter by BBC journalist Parham Ghobadi and shows Ivanka Trump speaking with several world leaders, including French President Emmanuel Macron, United Kingdom Prime Minister Theresa May, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and International Monetary Fund Chairwoman Christine Lagarde.

AOC certainly understands the anger she’ll invoke by lambasting the well-liked Ivanka, and there is no need to play dumb here.  This was a calculated tweet meant to drive Ocasio-Cortez’s name further into the daily political discussion in America.

The reason for this PR campaign is simple:  Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez came to Capitol Hill from a career in bartending – a gig that also doesn’t qualify a person for diplomacy or politicking.
