While the #MeToo movement remains nearly silent on the subject of Joe Biden’s alleged sexual assault of Tara Reade back in the 1990’s, a number of the purported victim’s inner circle have begun corroborating the story…some from beyond the grave.
First there was a clip from a 1993 episode of Larry King Live in which a woman called into the show looking for advice on how to handle a situation in which a loved one had been sexually assaulted by a Senator. While neither Tara Reade nor Joe Biden was mentioned by named, Reade has admitted that this was her mother’s voice, and that the incident discussed with Mr. King was indeed the sexual assault by the longtime politician. Reade’s mother passed away in 2016, however, and the clip that has surfaced this week provides a posthumous affirmation that Reade has been telling the same story for decades.
Now a former neighbor of the one-time Biden staffer is offering her own confirmation of the tale.
Lynda LaCasse, a former neighbor to Tara Reade, says she and Reade discussed her alleged sexual assault allegation against former Vice President Joe Biden between 1995 and 1996, telling Business Insider: “This happened, and I know it did because I remember talking about it.”
“I remember her saying, here was this person that she was working for and she idolized him,” said LaCasse. “And he kind of put her up against a wall. And he put his hand up her skirt and he put his fingers inside her. She felt like she was assaulted, and she really didn’t feel there was anything she could do.”
“I don’t remember all the details,” she added. “I remember the skirt. I remember the fingers. I remember she was devastated.”
Further strengthening LaCasse’s recollection is her admission that she is a dyed-in-the-wool Democrat who is still supporting Biden’s 2020 presidential run, and that she felt compelled by her honesty to come forward with these shocking new details.
