Biden Administration Fire Off Another Round of Drastic Executive Orders

Biden’s focus on COVID-19 is growing more ferocious by the moment.

As President Joe Biden continues to settle back in to the White House, much of the nation is now experiencing a sever case of political whiplash, with No. 46 swiftly reversing a number of Trump-era regulations and laws – all with the stoke of the pen.

Biden long promised his constituents that he would work quickly to undo as much of President Trump’s progress as possible, and he appears to be making good on that promise.  Biden has already signed a number of executive orders that simply reverse the work Donald Trump, and they just keep coming.

President Joe Biden signed two executive orders on Friday, one of which would increase federal food assistance and streamline the delivery of stimulus checks, as the president attempts to stabilize the economy without congressional assistance amid the fallout from the coronavirus pandemic.

“We have to act now,” Mr. Biden said in remarks before he signed the orders. “We cannot, will not, let people go hungry.”

Mr. Biden has proposed a $1.9 trillion relief plan to Congress, but it is unclear whether it will garner enough Republican support to pass on a bipartisan basis. Until Congress is able to pass another relief bill, Mr. Biden’s actions are intended as stopgap measures to stabilize the economy.

Biden has been heavily focused on getting the coronavirus pandemic under control, having already issued a mask mandate for anyone who is traveling.
