Biden makes foolish claim regarding Russian election interference: ‘Not on my watch’
That’s not what Robert Mueller said, Joe.
Sometimes the punch lines write themselves.
Joe Biden has long been known as the king of the gaffe. The man has a talent for sticking his foot in his mouth that is only now being eclipsed by legislators like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
He’s a “goofball”, as a recent friend put it.
But when it comes to national security, one would think that the sobering subject would reign Sleepy Joe in. Apparently not.
From a recent CNN interview:
“Look at what’s happening with Putin. While Putin is trying to undo our elections, he is undoing elections in Europe. Look at what’s happening in Hungary, look what’s happening in Poland, look what’s happening. You think that would happen on my watch or Barack’s watch? You can’t answer that, but I promise it wouldn’t have, and it didn’t.”
But wait. This is exactly what happened. Russia interfered in the 2016 elections when, you guessed it, Joe and Barry were still chumming it up in the Oval Office.
This is precisely what the Mueller report said.
To his detriment, CNN anchor Chris Cuomo was reluctant to clarify or challenge the former Vice President’s claim.
Joe Biden is currently waning in popularity amidst the crowded field of democratic candidates, with recent polls showing the former Senator in a dead heat with Liz Warren and Kamala Harris.
