Biden Says He’d Use Executive Order to Force Masks on American Citizens

This will undoubtedly stir the pot among freedom advocates.

There is a strange crossroads developing in America these days, as the medical and political worlds come together in the shadow of COVID-19.

Now, we have to remember always that Americans are rebellious by their very nature.  This nation began as a protest against the British, which, at the time seemed like an impossible task.  We succeeded, however, and instilled in future generations a wild hair that will not be groomed straight.

So, as the coronavirus crisis continues to wax and wane and wax again, many Americans are vociferously eschewing the idea of wearing a mask, especially in cases where it is mandated.

Now, as the 2020 election heats up, presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden has claimed that he would possibly use an executive order to mandate such face coverings.

“I know, as Americans, it’s not something we’re used to. But it matters,” Biden said of wearing a mask, noting he wears one “everywhere I go.”

The former vice president went further during an interview with KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh, suggesting he would use executive action or other means to leverage federal power and mandate wearing masks in public.

“I would do everything possible to make it required that people had to wear masks in public,” he said.

The idea of using federal power to mandate face coverings would undoubtedly be a controversial maneuver for Biden, especially after we’ve seen the heavy kickback that Florida officials received over just such a proposition earlier this week.
