Biden Snaps, Insulting Trump as Candidates Spar Over Mental Health

Make no mistake about it, Trump and Biden are ready to get their hands dirty.

Right on cue, the 2020 presidential election is turning catty and bitter.

We all knew that this day would come, as it always does in the modern political arena.  For a few days, the mainstream pundits will describe this ugly turn as “tenacious” or as the “gloves coming off”, but this is just their way of buffering reality in order to build suspense.  They are in the infotainment industry, after all, and they can’t let their narrative climax too early.

But, for the rest of us it is plain to see:  Donald Trump and Joe Biden are ready to get their hands dirty.

The latest spat between the two septuagenarians comes as we inch ever closer to some sort of presidential debates.

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden on Tuesday called President Trump “foolish” for his comments on the candidate’s mental acuity and unfounded claims suggesting that Biden is taking performance-enhancing drugs, as some pundits are warning that Trump might be lowering expectations for his opponent in the first debate happening later this month.

“I’m looking forward to the debate and he’s a fool,” Biden said in an interview with WFLA 8. “The comments are just foolish. Get ready, Mr. President, here I come.”

Biden laughed when the WFLA 8 reporter first started asking the question, referencing allegations Trump has made that Biden is “mentally shot” which he re-upped in an interview with “Fox & Friends” earlier on Tuesday.

The “get ready” line is foolhardy at best, especially coming from a man who once called a female town hall attendee a “lying, dog-face pony soldier”.
