Biden Takes Cheap Shot at Trump Over Voting by Mail from Mar-a-Lago

Hardy-har-har.

We are mere weeks away from the all-important 2020 election here in the United States, and it appears as though the candidates for President have just about finished taking their gloves off.

The jabs and barbs have grown heavier and sharper, respectively, and a cast of auxiliary characters has already begun to spring up around the ferocious fighters.  Just this week former President Barack Obama took a swing at Trump, tweeting about the controversial changes to the US Postal Service that have taken place over the last few days.

Now his surrogate, presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden, is following that statement up with a criticism of his own, trashing Trump for voting by mail via his Mar-a-Lago resort.

‘Voting by mail is safe and secure. And don’t take my word for it: Take it from the President, who just requested his mail-in ballot for the Florida primary on Tuesday,’ Biden tweeted.

Trump’s hypocrisy was also called out by his 2016 rival Hillary Clinton who tweeted: ‘What’s good enough for the Trumps should be good enough for the people they work for—the rest of us.’

According to CNN, Trump and First Lady Melania requested mail-in ballots for Florida’s primary election on Tuesday.

The ballots were mailed Wednesday to Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club, records show. Trump made the Florida home his permanent residence instead of New York last year.

The low blow was one of very few Biden lines to land this week, however, as the often-bumbling candidate has largely faded into the background as his running mate, Senator Kamala Harris, takes her share of the spotlight.

And, given just how unfortunate Biden’s behavior has been thus far on the campaign trail, Harris has arrived not a minute too soon.
