Bill Gates Warns Americans Not to Trust FDA and CDC on COVID Vaccine

Now months into a global pandemic that continues to threaten the American economy, all eyes are on the medical science field and the possibility of a vaccine to drag us out of this mess.

The novel strain of coronavirus that has ravaged the world over the course of the last 9 months is still lacking a cure, a surefire treatment, or the aforementioned vaccine needed to truly keep our at-risk individuals safe from contracting the illness.  Furthermore, given the current conspiratorial climate here in the United States, there are concerns that any possible vaccine developed for the drug will be shunned by the populace out of fear that this is all just some elaborate plot to further enslave mankind.

Yes, that sounds a little wild, but this is what a very vocal minority believe, and they’ve been hard at work spreading these ideas.

At the center of these COVID conspiracies is Microsoft Founder Bill Gates, who many believe will be involved with the development and distribution of any such miracle, and he is not well-trusted among the fringes.

That’s why his latest statement is sure to get the online hive mind buzzing.

Bill Gates used to think of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as the world’s premier public-health authority.

Not anymore.

And he doesn’t trust the Centers for Disease Control and Protection either. Both, in his view, are casualties of a presidency that has downplayed or dismissed science and medicine in the pursuit of political gain. One recent example came when FDA Commissioner Stephen Hahn, speaking at one of President Donald Trump’s news conferences, exaggerated the benefit of blood plasma as a treatment for Covid-19, then backtracked the following day.

“We saw with the completely bungled plasma statements that when you start pressuring people to say optimistic things, they go completely off the rails. The FDA lost a lot of credibility there,” Gates, the billionaire philanthropist, said in an interview on Bloomberg Television.

“Historically, just like the CDC was viewed as the best in the world, the FDA had that same reputation as a top-notch regulator,” Gates said. “But there’s been some cracks with some of the things they’ve said at the commissioner level.”

Of course, the lack of trust in Gates himself has clouded outlook on any vaccine, and could hamper progress on the pandemic heading into 2021.
