CNN Anchor Blasts Joe Biden Over Lack of Response to Race Riots

But is this the network trying to coach Biden’s PR team as they approach the final stretch of the 2020 election?

It’s not often that CNN calls it like they see it.  They’re in the infotainment business, after all, where outrage and angst are the keys to making the ad revenue come raining down around them.

Your dismay is their delicacy.  When your blood pressure rises, so do their ratings.  This is a trick as old as time, with CNN and the rest of the mainstream media understanding perfectly what it is that they are doing.

So, for the most part, they say little about quelling the violence in America, choosing instead to hide behind some selective tenets of journalism and stating that that “hey, we just report the facts”.

This is akin to people picking and choosing the parts of the Bible that they choose to adhere to.

But now, out of left field, CNN is calling on Joe Biden to address the race riots that are springing up around the nation.

From Don Lemon last night:

“This is where I come in. We’ll get to that. But when you said it’s too little too late, I don’t know about that. I mean, we still have a lot of time left until election day. I do think that this —what you said was happening in Kenosha is a Rorschach test for the entire country. I think this is a blind spot for Democrats. I think Democrats are hoping this will go away, and it’s not going to go away.”

He added, “I think maybe Joe Biden may be afraid to do it. I’m not sure. Maybe he won’t, maybe he is. He’s got to address it. He’s got to come out and talk about it. He’s got to do a speech like Barack Obama did about race. He’s got to come out and tell people that he’s going to deal with the issue of police reform in this country, and that’s what’s happening now is happening under Donald Trump’s watch. When he is the president, Kamala Harris is the vice president. Then they will take care of this problem. But guess what? The rioting has to stop. Chris, as you know, and I know it’s showing up in the polling, it’s showing up in focus groups. It is the only thing right now that is sticking.”

Is this a turning point for CNN, in that they’ll actually begin to objectively view the violence that we’ve seen in recent weeks, or are they simply coaching Joe Biden’s team in order to bolster his chances in November?
