CNN Anchor Torches Nancy Pelosi’s ‘Set Up’ Excuse Regarding Salon Scandal
You know things are bad when Nancy Pelosi can’t get a free pass from the liberal media.
Nancy Pelosi very well could have nipped this whole thing right in the bud yesterday, but didn’t.
The House Speaker has come under fire in recent days after a video hit the web depicting Pelosi, mask-less, getting her hair done inside a San Francisco salon. And while this may sound like a minor issue, local ordinances explicitly forbid any indoor salon appointments whatsoever, and also require that patrons wear masks at all times.
Pelosi’s reputation as a mask and social distancing proponent made this incident embarrassing enough, but a heartfelt apology would have relegated the controversy to a one-day news cycle sort of issue.

Instead, Madame Speaker decided to accuse the salon of “setting her up”, as if they were some politically-motivated mafiosos or an international espionage outfit.
The excuse was so egregious that even CNN’s Don Lemon was unable to contain his disgust.
Lemon seemed to question Pelosi’s story and asked his viewers “shouldn’t she know better?”
“This far into the pandemic this House Speaker should know what is safe and what isn’t,” Lemon said. “We should all know. It’s our responsibility.”
The liberal anchor continued, “Instead of claiming a setup, it would have been just as easy for the speaker to say, ‘You know what, I messed up. I should have worn a mask indoors.'”
The owner of the salon blasted Pelosi as well, calling her visit a “slap in the face” to businesses struggling to survive amid new and complex COVID regulations.
Individual hairstylists often pay rent to salon owners for their space, which explains the disconnect between the establishment’s owner and the individual who was tasked with washing and blow-drying Pelosi’s hair.
