‘Conan’, Canine Celebrated for Role in ISIS Leader’s Demise, Visits White House
This daring dog was given the royal treatment at the White House.
While there will never be enough said about the bravery and the sacrifice of our military men and women here in the United States, they aren’t the only heroes of the battlefield that derisive praise.
As recently as last month, we were reminded of just such a story, as Conan, a well-trained military dog, was touted as instrumental in the demise of one of ISIS’ most notorious ne’er-do-wells.
Conan even has her own Wikipedia entry:

Conan is a special operations military working dog in the United States 1st SFOD-D (Delta Force). She is a female Belgian Malinois and was named after Conan O’Brien due to her shaggy hair.[1] Conan took part in the Barisha raid, which resulted in the death of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of the Islamic State, on October 27, 2019. She chased al-Baghdadi down into a tunnel before al-Baghdadi detonated his suicide vest.[1]

Now, another honor is being bestowed upon this daring dog.
President Donald Trump met with the hero dog of the famous raid leading to the death of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi on Monday, surprising reporters at the White House.
“Conan is a tough cookie,” Trump said proudly, after meeting the dog. “Nobody’s going to mess with Conan.”
The President even had some jokes.
“It’s amazing, and yet you see how beautiful and how calm during a situation like this is. And you’re very lucky that he’s not in a bad mood today,” Trump joked with the reporters.
Conan is female, according to a White House source, and the Belgian Malinois serves as a canine unit in the military.
“I learned a lot about this particular type of dog. And it’s trained that, if you open your mouths, you will be attacked,” Trump added to reporters. “You want to be very, very careful.”
Conan still has work to do, apparently, and First Lady Melania Trump, when asked if she would be interested in adopting the proud pooch, replied “no”.
