At a time in which our nation is keenly aware of the horrid way in which powerful men have been coercing the women in their midst into inappropriate and degrading situations, one would think that there would be enough cognizance to keep sexual predators out of the spotlight.
And, at the bare minimum, it would be expected that men who’ve been known to exploit the women in their midst would be kept away from speaking on “empowering women”.
Vice President Kamala Harris will hold a joint discussion on “empowering women and girls” with former President Bill Clinton, who has been accused of sexual misconduct by multiple women.
The Clinton Foundation announced on Tuesday that the discussion would take place as part of a virtual event with college students from around the world on Friday. Besides Harris, other speakers will include Mayor Muriel Bowser, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, her daughter Chelsea and Georgia Democrat Stacey Abrams.
The foundation described the talk as: “A one-on-one conversation with President Clinton and Vice President Kamala Harris on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on women, and empowering women and girls in the U.S. and around the world.”
During his presidency, Clinton was impeached after lying to investigators and the American people about a sexual encounter he had with a White House staffer named Monica Lewinsky, in which he performed degrading acts on the young woman using a cigar.
Clinton was also a known acquaintance of child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, with Epstein cohort Ghislaine Maxwell having also attended the wedding of Clinton’s daughter Chelsea.
