The last several years of American politics have seen a steady increase in the amount of unkempt violence that our nation produces. Tempers have been running extremely high of late, and the false dichotomy of “Team R” versus ” Team D” continues to push us into ever-more combative situations.
No one knows this better than Any Ngo, a conservative journalist who has been repeatedly targeted by violent leftists while attempting to do his job.
Ngo, fearing for his life, has been forced to make an extremely tough decision.
Over the course of years, Ngô has endured physical attacks from people in crowds while covering Antifa or radical events, and even unwanted visitors at his and his parents’ homes, Ngô wrote in his book.
But everything came to a head earlier this year when Ngô left the country amid threats of violence and “an escalation of safety concerns,” he told Fox News.
“It was just not safe anymore for me. I had already been on borrowed time,” he said when reached by phone.
Ngo spent a great deal of time reporting on the Antifa violence in Portland, Oregon, often finding himself attacked by the crowd itself.
Ngo’s latest book, which covers the violence perpetrated by Antifa in depth, has been boycotted by several local bookstores in Portland, on account of his conservative politics.
