Whether it’s ignorance, obliviousness, or just plain, old arrogance, there is something preventing Andrew Cuomo from fully recognizing the situation that he’s found himself in.
The New York State Governor, on top of being investigated over this fatal decision to send COVID-19 patients to nursing homes in the early stages of the pandemic, is now dealing with an even more pressing controversy as six women have now come forward to accuse him of sexual harassment and abuse.
But Cuomo doesn’t seem to care. He’s acting indignant and untouchable, refusing to resign and now seemingly flirting with a supporter who shouted in his direction.
“I love you and you better stay where you are, we’ve got your back,” the woman called out as the governor entered a car.
Cuomo smiled, pulled down his mask and asked if the woman had been vaccinated yet.
“I love you,” she shouted again. “We love you, we need you at the finish line, you better stay.”
“OK, I’m not going anywhere, darling,” Cuomo responded before departing.
The Empire State Governor is also facing accusations that he has been tampering with investigations into his behavior, which isn’t often the sort of thing that innocent people tend to engage in.
