Cuomo Says ‘You Know Who’ is Responsible for ‘Every’ COVID Death in America

Does the Governor truly believe that, or is this just the election talking?

There has been no shortage of hyperbole being tossed casually about the American political landscape as of late, and it would be silly to assume that this behavior would somehow correct itself in the 5 days before an intensely combative presidential election.

This is long past the time in the race where the gloves come off; this is the portion of the contest where one candidate is dipping his taped hands in broken glass and the other is filling his pocket with sand to be tossed into his opponent’s eyes.

Everything that we hear from this moment forward is going to be scrutinized, fact-checked, and dissected umpteen times on account of the sheer volume of the vitriol involved.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s latest dig at the President seems to squarely fit this pattern of exaggerated rhetoric.

The moment came during an airing of The View.

Co-host Whoopi Goldberg said, “Coronavirus is now the third leading cause of death in America, and you say, and rightfully so I think, but I’m going to ask you, you’re holding you-know-who responsible for every death in New York from COVID. I’m going to say to you. Why?”

Cuomo said, “I’m holding you-know-who responsible for every death in this country. First, Whoopi, because he lied about it. He lied about it from day one. They had that memo in January from a person named Peter Navarro saying millions are going to die. They lied about it, and they knew that millions were going to get infected and that hundreds of thousands were going to die. That’s the first reason. The Old Book says, don’t lie, right?”

Cuomo went on to blast the President’s preoccupation with China’s role in the origins of coronavirus as well, stating that the virus came to America via Europe, not the far east.
