Dem Rep Al Green Says There’s No Limit on Impeachment Attempts

This once again reiterates the left’s desire to maintain a final veto power over the will of the American people in our supposedly free and fair elections, which is itself a danger to our Constitution.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced today that she is requesting articles of impeachment to be drawn up against President Donald J. Trump – a move that has been a long time in the making.

In fact, many of the responses from the Republican Party have reminded the nation that impeachment has been on the mind of the Democratic Party from the very beginning of Donald Trump’s political career.  House Republican leader Kevin McCarthy even went so far as to accuse the Democrats of having a timeline for this impeachment push that would culminate, as it has, at the end of 2019, in an attempt to damage Trump before the 2020 election.

Now, in a nod to the weakness of the UkraineGate case itself, Democratic Rep. Al Green is reminding us that the left could fail at impeachment this time around…but just keep trying.

From an appearance on CSPAN:

“A president can be impeached more than once,” Green advised. “So, we can do this: we can move forward with what we have on the table currently, we can take this before the Senate and we can still investigate other issues, and when the president has committed additional offenses – and my suspicion is that he will – we can take those before the Senate.”

He continued, “There is no limit on the number of times the Senate can vote to convict or not a president, no limit to the number of times the House can vote to impeach or not a president. So, my belief is that [Pelosi] will probably say we’re going to move forward with what we have now, but we’re not going to end investigations and that there may be possible opportunities to do other things at a later time.”

This once again reiterates the left’s desire to maintain a final veto power over the will of the American people in our supposedly free and fair elections, which is itself a danger to our Constitution.
