Democratic Governor Caught Breaking State COVID Rules on Social Media

And he posted it himself!

Over the course of this awful and ugly pandemic, there have been a number of lawmakers and statesmen who’ve been hit with headlines to the effect of “rules for thee, but not for me”, on account of their unwillingness to abide by their own safety protocols, or guidelines to which they profess to find import in.

Perhaps the most infamous of these incidents came when House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was caught on CCTV inside of a hair salon in California, despite an ordinance that stated very clearly that only outdoor hair appointments were allowed.

Now, one of Pelosi’s fellow Golden State Democrats is coming under fire for a similar issue.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom appeared indoors at a restaurant in a county where indoor dining is not allowed, but the governor’s office has said he did not dine at the restaurant.

He was there to meet with the restaurant’s owners, who received a relief grant, Newsom spokesperson Daniel Lopez told Fox News.

Newsom posted a video to his TikTok account with celebrity George Lopez talking about where to look for coronavirus vaccine eligibility. Newsom and Lopez were in Fresno, Calif., and are inside Los Amigos restaurant.

A separate video of Lopez was posted to the Los Amigos restaurant’s Facebook page. Lopez was endorsing the restaurant’s food.

Fresno is in the most restrictive purple tier, which does not allow for indoor dining.

The news comes as Newsom is facing extreme criticism from his constituents over the Governor’s handling of the coronavirus crisis, with the very real threat of a recall looming just over the horizon.

This incident certainly won’t help Californians’ opinions of Newsom.
