Democratic Mayor of Chicago Ignores Social Distancing to Get a Haircut

This is not how one would go about leading by example.

President Donald Trump has been recently fond of referring to his opponents across the aisle as the “do-nothing” Democrats, but, in reality, they’ve been more like the “do as I say, not as I do” Democrats.

This has been the case for decades, but the intensity of the left’s hypocrisy seems to have increased exponentially during the Donald Trump presidency.  The Democratic Party seems incensed at the idea of investigating the FBI’s behavior in regard to RussiaGate and the Clinton email probe, but they’ll impeach the President after a hearsay report from a whistleblower falls into Adam Schiff’s lap.

Now, as politicians across America plead with their constituents to stay home and practice social distancing, one Democratic Mayor has decided to go out on the town for a trim.

[Chicago] Mayor Lori Lightfoot Monday defended getting her hair cut over the weekend at a time when beauty parlors are shut down.

The mayor couldn’t help but acknowledge it after photos surfaced on social media showing her after getting her hair cut without wearing a mask.

“I’m in the public every day. And candidly, my hair was not looking the way it did. I thought maybe I’d do it myself, but I knew that would be disaster,” the mayor said.

“But I think what really people want to talk about is, we’re talking about people dying here. We’re talking about significant health disparities. I think that’s what people care most about.”

I suppose that this is nothing more than further proof that the Democratic Party is incapable of leading by example.
