Earlier this week, Rudy Giuliani was said to be incensed over the lack of traction he was getting with a certain story he peddled to the New York Post regarding Hunter Biden, the son of 2020 Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.
Giuliani’s gripes were squarely aimed at Attorney General Bill Barr and the Department of Justice, who hadn’t made any indication that they were indeed investigating the “laptop from Hell”, as the President refers to it. The device allegedly belonged to Hunter Biden, and salacious, sensational files from the machine have purportedly been showing up on a Chinese website that has ties to Steve Bannon, but the mainstream media in the United States has shied away from the story on account of the dubious chain of custody in the machine’s history and, very likely, Giuliani’s own involvement.
On Thursday, just 4 days before the election, a source within the DOJ has now revealed that Hunter Biden is under investigation, however, and has been since 2019.
A Department of Justice (DOJ) official confirmed Thursday that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) opened a criminal investigation into Hunter Biden and his associates in 2019, focused on allegations of money-laundering, and that it remains “open and active,” according to Sinclair investigative reporter James Rosen.
EXCLUSIVE: A @TheJusticeDeptofficial confirms that in 2019, the @FBIopened up a criminal investigation into “Hunter Biden and his associates,” focused on allegations of money-laundering, and that it remains open and active today. More very soon on your @WeAreSinclairstations.
The news comes in the same week that a former business partner to Hunter Biden appeared on Tucker Carlson’s television program to detail the work that he had been involved with overseas with the former Vice President’s son.
