Donald Trump and John Kerry Join Forces to Rip GOP Rep. Over Virus Stunt

You don’t see this everyday.

It’s not every day that you see Donald Trump reaching across the proverbial aisle to agree with a prominent Democrat, but desperate times call for desperate measures.

As America continues to grapple with a pandemic outbreak of COVID-19, the federal government has been hard at work, hoping to soften the blow of the coming economic impact by passing a series of massive economic relief bills.  The latest, a $2 trillion effort that would send cash directly into the hands of American workers, was set to be voted on with a skeleton crew of Congresspersons on Friday…that is until GOP Representative Thomas Massie indicated his plans to sink the whole deal.  This forced a number of elected officials to return to the Capitol just to properly outnumber his stunt of a stance.

So many had to return that, in this time of social distancing, many public servants were forced to stand in the House’s visitors’ seating area.

Massie became an instant villain, and received a double dose of criticism from both President Trump and former Secretary of State John Kerry.

Kerry fired off a tweet of his own, turning profane in the process.

[STRONG LANGUAGE AHEAD]

“Breaking news: Congressman Massie has tested positive for being an a–hole. He must be quarantined to prevent the spread of his massive stupidity,” Kerry tweeted. “He’s given new meaning to the term #M-sshole.”

Kerry added: “Finally, something the president and I can agree on!”

President Trump soon endorsed Kerry’s deduction.

It just  goes to show that, in a time of crisis, we are all in this together.

Well, except for Thomas Massie.
