East Palestine Mayor SHREDS Joe Biden Over Ukraine Trip

“A slap in the face”.

The residents of East Palestine, Ohio have been clamoring for assistance from the federal government for weeks now, and President Biden’s latest jet-setting photo ops now have many seeing red.

After a train carrying toxic vinyl chloride derailed in the town earlier this month, authorities performed a controlled detonation at the site in order to prevent an uncontrolled explosion from spewing shrapnel and hazardous material throughout the area.  The incident has raised fears that a long-term ecological disaster is unfolding before our very eyes, and while the federal government is more concerned with keeping Ukraine safe than Ohio.

The angst boiled over this week with the mayor of East Palestine taking aim at President Biden.

On Monday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Jesse Watters Primetime,” East Palestine, Ohio Mayor Trent Conaway stated that President Joe Biden’s Ukraine trip on Monday is “the biggest slap in the face” and the President “giving millions of dollars away to people over there, and not to us,” “tells you right now he doesn’t care about us.”

What exactly was said?

Later, East Palestine resident Lenny Glavin asked, on behalf of host Jesse Watters, “[W]ith the President being in Ukraine today, did that surprise you?”

Conaway answered, “Absolutely. That was the biggest slap in the face. That tells you right now he doesn’t care about us. So, he can send every agency he wants to, but I found that out this morning in one of the briefings that he was in…Ukraine giving millions of dollars away to people over there, and not to us, and I’m furious.”

The Biden administration was heavily criticized last week for their initial refusal to send certain types of federal aid to East Palestine, despite the numerous and vocal requests being made by a number of local authorities.
