El Paso shooter tells police who he was aiming for during rampage

This is the face of hate, rising in our nation.

Our great nation is grieving, and rightfully so.

Over the course of the last few weeks, we have endured senseless and cowardly violence on a scale that was previously unimaginable.  In Dayton, a disturbed young man was one of ten left dead after he opened fire in a crowded strip mall.  Police would shoot him dead at the scene.

In El Paso, Texas, however, the suspect in a shooting that has now claimed 22 lives is himself still among the breathing…and he’s talking.

This cretin left us a manifesto online just hours before his rampage was to begin, pointing to his own bigotry and prejudices as a motivation for the attack.

Now as he speaks with authorities, we are getting an even clearer picture of just how deranged he truly was.

“The defendant stated once inside the store he opened fire using his AK-47, shooting multiple innocent victims,” the document said, adding that the intended targets were “Mexicans.”

Of the 22 people who died, eight were Mexican nationals. Another 25 people sustained injuries.

The suspect has been described by police as in a state of “shock or confusion”.

Despite that, he appears to be cooperating with the investigation.
