Football Legend Confronts Would-Be Kidnapper Who Grabbed Grandchild

The story is simply bizarre.

A strange and frightening incident took place within the vicinity of one of the NFL’s all time greats over the weekend, and it has led to the arrest of a middle-aged woman.

The story begins with an as-of-yet unidentified woman walking directly into a home where former San Francisco 49er’s quarterback Joe Montana was staying and simply snatching his grandchild.

An unidentified 39-year-old woman entered the Los Angeles County home where Montana and his wife were staying on Saturday at around 5 p.m. using an unlocked door, law enforcement sources told TMZ Sports.

At that point, the suspect allegedly saw a woman holding a baby, grabbed the child and walked to a different part of the house.

The hall-of-famer was not going to stand idly by.

According to the report, Montana and his wife confronted the woman and wrestled the baby away from her. She fled the scene but was captured by police, who happened to be in the area for an unrelated matter, just a few blocks away.

Concerns over child trafficking and kidnapping have been on the rise here in the United States as of late, fueled in a part by a number of stories of US Marshals recovering missing and exploited children in places like Georgia.
