President Trump has awoken something terribly ugly within international politics during his scant few months in office, and the latest insulting banter from north of the border is proof.
A trip to Poland by President Trump had to be revised, with the Commander in Chief sending VP Mike Pence in his stead, all thanks to the potentially catastrophic Hurricane Dorian eyeing up a landfall over Labor Day in Florida. Having just been upgraded to a Category 3 event, (with reaching Category 4 a very real possibility), the President was not willing to be concurrently out of country.
Despite the care being taken by the White House, one former Canadian lawmaker exploited the coming disaster in order to take an ugly, childish swipe at President Trump.
Canada’s former Prime Minister Kim Campbell is actively “rooting” for Hurricane Dorian to hit President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago, according to a tweet posted on Wednesday.take our poll - story continues below
“I’m rooting for a direct hit on Mar a Lago!” Campbell, the country’s first female prime minister, exclaimed on Twitter…
But this wasn’t totally unexpected.
This is far from the first time Campbell has taken aim at Trump. She made waves earlier this year after echoing Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and calling the president a “motherf**ker!”
Hurricane Dorian’s forecasted paths are still a bit erratic, with the storm looking to make landfall anywhere from Mar-a-Lago to the coast of Georgia.
