FREE SPEECH: Democrats Lining Up For Town Halls on Fox News Channel

Fox News again dominates ratings…even when they host democratic town halls.

President Trump may not like it, but Fox News is going all out in their promotion of free speech in America.

Earlier this week, Trump ripped Fox News in one of his signature Twitter rants, after the network hosted democratic socialist Bernie Sanders for a presidential town hall special.  Fox, which has long been considered a network that leans heavily to the right, surprised much of the nation with their treatment of Sanders, and Sanders, for what it’s worth, had no qualms with reaching out to an audience that likely wasn’t very receptive to his ideas.

But, again, this is all in the name of free speech and the freedom of the press…something that we often find ourselves fighting for here in 2019.

Bernie’s brouhaha may not be the last unexpected “town hall” for Fox News either, according to the latest reports.

Fox News announced on Wednesday that it will feature a town hall with 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Sen.Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) next month.

The announcement, made by Fox News and Fox Business president and Executive Editor Jay Wallace, will take place on Wednesday, May 8, and it will be broadcast live from 6:30-7:30 p.m. live from Milwaukee.

The town hall will be moderated by “Special Report” anchor Bret Baier and The Story” anchor Martha MacCallum, both of whom moderated a town hall with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) on Monday.

For what it’s worth, the Bernie Sanders town hall has so far been the highest rated presidential town hall of the 2020 election…among all networks.

And, even if you don’t agree with their politics, the willingness of these candidates to enter so-called “hostile territory” should be applauded.
