General Flynn Suggests Using Military to ‘Rerun’ the Election, Cites Precedent

Well that’s a bold strategy.

There are still a number of ways in which President Trump and his team believe they’ll be able to secure another four years in office for the Commander in Chief, but these paths are growing fewer by the minutes.

Trump-aligned lawyers Rudy Giuliani, Sidney Powell, Lin Wood, and Jenna Ellis have been having a tough time finding a court willing to hear their cases, and the Supreme Court has already bounced back a Texas-led suit that looked to be their best legal bet.

Now, former national security adviser Michael Flynn has a bold idea.

Former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, who was recently pardoned by President Donald Trump, is ramping up his calls for Trump to institute martial law to prevent President-elect Joe Biden from taking office. During a Thursday night appearance on Newsmax, Flynn insisted that Trump has “military capabilities” to force various states to redo their elections.

“There is no way in the world we are going to be able to move forward as a nation. He could immediately, on his order, seize every single one of these [voting] machines, on his order,” Flynn said[…]

“He could order the, within the swing states, if he wanted to, he could take military capabilities, and he could place those in states and basically rerun an election in each of those states,” he continued, adding: “I mean, it’s not unprecedented. These people are out there talking about martial law like it’s something that we’ve never done. Martial law has been instituted 64 times.”

The idea of the President declaring some version of martial law in order to re-do the election has been posited by a number of pro-Trump voices over the last few weeks, but Michael Flynn’s suggestion carries the weight of his stature within the MAGA movement.
