Hillary Clinton Continues to Float ‘Rematch’ with Trump on PBS

This isn’t the first time Clinton has attempted to gauge public interest in her possibly running again.

The American people are gearing up for yet anther election season – one that will be called “the most important election of our generation” ad nauseam by every mainstream news outlet out there.

We’re going to hear a whole lot of phrases like “the soul of America”, “what the Founders envisioned”, and “our very democracy is at stake”.

Of course, we’ve heard these all before, also ad nauseam, during the last several election events.  This is the new norm. It’s sensationalism tied to the infotainment industry’s flair for the dramatic, and, frankly, America is over it.

At the end of 2016’s ugly campaign, the American people seemed over Hillary Clinton as well.  The former First Lady did not take the hint, however, and is herself hinting at taking another stab at it in 2020.

Appearing on ‘PBS Newshour”, Clinton had the following to say:

“You know, it truly is remarkable how obsessed he remains with me. But this latest tweet is so typical of him. Nothing has been more examined and looked at than my emails. We all know that. So, he’s either lying or delusional, or both. There was no subpoena, as he says in a tweet this morning. So, maybe there does need to be a rematch. I mean, obviously, I can beat him again. But, just seriously, I don’t understand, I don’t think anybody understands what motivates him, other than personal grievance, other than seeking adulation.”

Clinton had previously gauged interest in a “rematch” by responding to a tweet by President Trump, who was egging her on to enter the race, with “Don’t Tempt Me.”.
