Hillary Clinton Makes Profound Statement Regarding Trump, 2020, and Coronavirus

No one asked.

As we continue to approach the 2020 election, now just 4 months away, there are sure to be a number of previously wayward politicians all reemerging and vying for some airtime and headlines.  These are the folks whose egos won’t allow them to sit this one out, and some of the statements that they are making are just downright absurd.

Take Hillary Clinton, for example, who is now insisting that she would somehow beat Trump in the 2020 election, and that his response to the coronavirus crisis would pale in comparison to her own.

“We wouldn’t have been able to stop the pandemic at our borders the way that Trump claimed in the beginning, but we sure could have done a better job saving lives, modeling better, more responsible behavior,” she said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

“I don’t think we necessarily should have had as deep an economic assault on livelihoods and jobs as we have,” she said. “So I know I would have done a better job.”

Then came perhaps her boldest statement:

She went on to say that while it is not on the cards for her to run for the presidency again, she believes she would beat him in November if she was on the ballot.

“Yes,” she said. “But I think people believe that this is a referendum on him.”

The idea of Hillary Clinton running for office again in 2020 was roundly rejected by younger Democrats, who still harbor a heck of a grudge from Clinton’s rigging of the 2016 Democratic primaries against Bernie Sanders.
