Hollywood Legend Calls SCOTUS Nomination ‘War’, Implores Dems to Use ‘Weapons’

This sort of language is simply unacceptable.

The sheer level of vitriol that we face in the United States today is unnerving, to say the least.

We have all manner of public figure, political or otherwise, using terrifying and vicious verbiage to relay their radical demands.  This is an angst-ridden time in this nation, and we are running a very real risk of seeing this turn into something far less civil than we’re seeing now.

It certainly doesn’t help that the cult of celebrity is weighing in with violent ideals either.

Left-wing Hollywood filmmaker Rob Reiner is declaring war on Republicans over who will replace the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the Supreme Court. He has also accused Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of disrespecting Ginsburg by vowing to give President Trump’s nominee a floor vote in the Senate.

The Princess Bride director made the fiery comments in a tweet on Saturday morning. “Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s body isn’t even cold and Mitch McConnell is dancing on her grave,” he said. “This is war. Dems have powerful weapons. Now is the time to use them.”

Reiner has long been an incredibly outspoken opponent of President Donald Trump over the course of his time in the Oval Office, with his language and demeanor growing ever more fervent by the day.
