The truth shall set you free. At least, that’s what we’ve all been told.
This sentiment is an important one, particularly in the dingy and dark corners of the American political spectrum, where lies flow like water from the mouths of our “public servants”. The untruths, mistruths, and half-truths are all well-calculated, and weaponized in order to cobble together whatever support they need to continue in their fat-cat lifestyle.
In the case of the UkraineGate conspiracy impeachment “inquiry” being conducted by the Democrats, Donald Trump seems to be the only one interested in the truth at all. The White Houses’ near-immediate release of documents relating the a July 25th phone call between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is proof positive of that.
On the left side of the aisle, however, the behavior has been far less transparent, and now one House Rep is ready to blow the lid off of this latest clandestine scandal.
The top Republican on the House Foreign Affairs Committee told “America’s Newsroom”that there was “no evidence of a quid pro quo” in President Trump’s phone call with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky on July 25.
“I think it’s a bit of a fishing expedition at this point in time,” said Rep. Michael McCaul, of Texas, on the Democrats’ push toward impeachment.
He faulted House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, a California Democrats, for conducting the investigation “in the most secret room in the Capitol.”
“At least have a vote on the House floor to move forward with this. It defies democracy. … All Adam Schiff is doing right now is building a secret record in his SCIF in a one-sided process to move forward toward impeachment.”
It stands to reckon that the entire reason behind the left’s refusal to vote on impeachment is for the very purpose of obfuscation and obstruction. They work in secret to prevent the Republican party and the White House from being abel to defend themselves, and their use of the mainstream media to disseminate their talking points is just about as uncouth as it gets.
Sunlight is the best disinfectant, and it’s about time for someone on Capitol Hill to pull back the curtains.
