IMPEACHMENT INCOMING! Nancy Pelosi set to announce formal inquiry

Oh boy…here we go.

The democrats can wait no longer, apparently.

The hemming and hawing of the liberal base has been a ripsaw in our ear canals for months.  They’ve been clamoring for the impeachment of President Trump fairly consistently from the moment he was sworn into office, perhaps even slightly before.

There was “RussiaGate”.  There were “hush money” payments to Stormy Daniels.  There have been numerous scandals concocted simply out of thin air, meant to paint this President as some sort of racist, bigot, sexist, or other cretinous creature.

But this is Teflon Don – nothing has seemed to stick to him whatsoever.

The democrats are persistent, if nothing else, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is expected to take the next steps in their “resistance” of the President on Tuesday.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., is expected to announce the formalization of an impeachment inquiry against President Trump when she speaks this evening on Capitol Hill at 5 p.m. ET, Fox News is told.

Wary of compromising the electability of vulnerable Democrats, Pelosi had long resisted the dramatic move — even though other top Democrats have insisted an impeachment inquiry has been in progress for months already.

Pelosi’s planned imprimatur came after a flurry of those swing-district Democrats late Monday wrote an op-ed in The Washington Post backing an impeachment inquiry, or a fact-finding look at whether an impeachment vote is warranted.

The announcement will come just hours after former Vice President and 2020 candidate Joe Biden issued a blistering statement in favor of impeachment – a shrewd move by his campaign team that made Biden appear presidential, complete with a flag-heavy dais and formal podium.

White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham responded to the inevitable announcement with a biting brevity.

The democratic maneuver comes after a whistleblower complaint, still unseen, claimed that the President had made “promises” to foreign leaders during phone calls from the White House.
