From the moment that Joe Biden entered the 2020 presidential race, pundits and political observers alike knew that some silly, strange things were about to happen.
Biden’s lengthy career in politics has taught us one sure lesson about the former Vice President: He’s full of gaffes, antiquated anecdotes, and even angst at times, and having him at the forefront of the American political scene would certainly bring some wacky energy to the election.
And he hasn’t disappointed.
At one town hall, Biden’s feisty exchange with a voter included the statesman calling the man “fat” and “a damn liar”, and then, just a few weeks later, Biden referred to a woman at another campaign event as a “lying, dog-faced pony soldier”.
Perhaps his most offense “oops” was when he appeared on a hip-hop-centric radio program and told African Americans that “they ain’t black” if they vote for Trump.
Today, Biden widened his net, laying down another broadside attack against a wide swath of voters.
Former Vice President Joe Biden (D) referred to his opponents as “chumps” while delivering remarks in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, on Saturday.
“I’ll work as hard for those who don’t support me as those who do, including those chumps with the microphone out there,” Biden said at a drive-in rally on Saturday before coughing into his hand[…]
The “chumps” that Biden were referring to were Trump supporters who crashed his event, and were honking their horns and making other wise in an attempt to distract and harass Biden.
By the time the event ended, it appeared to many reporters that the Trump supporters outnumbered the Biden crowd.
