Joe Biden suddenly backs impeachment of Trump as Ukraine scandal explodes

Capitol Hill is about to turn contentious as impeachment-mania runs amok.

As Tuesday continues to roll onward, it is becoming rather apparent that a seismic shift is coming to Washington DC.

The Beltway Swamp’s waters are rising against the incumbent President thanks to a still-unheard complaint by a White House whistleblower whose allegations are being inferred by the mainstream media.

The gist of the guessing game is this:  The President made a supposed “promise” to Ukrainian leaders in hopes of coercing them into investigating corrupt business deals by Hunter Biden, son of current 2020 frontrunner Joe Biden.  Again, none of this has been confirmed, as the Director of National Intelligence has declined to share the whistleblower’s complaint with Congress.

Impeachment is now back at the forefront of the mainstream media’s news cycle, and with it comes a whole new slew of supporters, including Joe Biden himself.

Joe Biden will call on President Donald Trump to comply with congressional requests for information on Ukraine and other matters, and say later on Tuesday that Congress should impeach him if he does not comply, a spokesman said.

The former U.S. vice president is set to deliver a statement on Tuesday afternoon about a report from the intelligence inspector general on a whistleblower who supposedly raised concerns about Trump.

Biden, who leads national Democratic presidential polls, is scheduled to speak from his home in Wilmington at 2 pm. Later Tuesday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is expected to speak following an emergency caucus-wide meeting on impeachment.

Should an impeachment hearing become reality it could be a double-edge sword for Biden, whose familial business dealings within the Ukraine would take center stage.

The President could be welcoming such an escalation as well, as the proceedings are sure to fail in the Senate, setting the incumbent republican up with a massive boost heading into the meat of the 2020 election cycle.
