Major, Armed Protests Set For All 50 States Ahead of Inauguration

Is there more trouble on the horizon?

With only nine days remaining until the inauguration of Joe Biden, the nation’s political tensions are at an all-time high – at least in modern history.

The fracturing of America’s political psyche has been occurring in slow motion for much of the last four years, but, on January 6th, things took a turn for the worst as a massive crowd overtook police and stormed the US Capitol.  The insurrection was quelled within a few hours, but DC is now preparing for more violence surrounding the inauguration of Joe Biden, prompting the mayor to ask for all the help they can get.

As it turns out, it’s not just DC that’s on high alert.

Starting this week and running through at least Inauguration Day, armed protests are being planned at all 50 state capitols and at the U.S. Capitol, according to an internal FBI bulletin obtained by ABC News.

The FBI has also received information in recent days on a group calling for “storming” state, local and federal government courthouses and administrative buildings in the event President Donald Trump is removed from office prior to Inauguration Day. The group is also planning to “storm” government offices in every state the day President-elect Joe Biden will be inaugurated, regardless of whether the states certified electoral votes for Biden or Trump.

“The FBI received information about an identified armed group intending to travel to Washington, DC on 16 January,” the bulletin read. “They have warned that if Congress attempts to remove POTUS via the 25th Amendment, a huge uprising will occur.”

The Bureau has been busy as of late, with over 40,000 digital “tips” to sort through in the aftermath of the Capitol breach, leaving much of the legwork to local law enforcement in the run-up to Biden’s inauguration.
