Mike Pence Death Threats Getting Attention from Secret Service

Pro-Trump grounds are no longer thrilled with the veep.

There are a large number of folk within the MAGA wing of the Republican Party who are extremely unhappy with Vice President Mike Pence.

They see Pence as having lost his nerve, after President Trump spent several days pushing for this VP to join the “stop the steal”movement.  Pence did not jump on the bandwagon, however, and he has begun to draw the ire of the far right on account of that decision.

The anti-Pence vitriol is so fierce that the Secret Service has now gotten involved.

The U.S. Secret Service is investigating death threats against Vice President Mike Pence made by pro-Trump lawyer Lin Wood, Fox News has learned.

Wood, who was banned from Twitter last week, is suspected of writing a now-deleted post on Parler: “Get the firing squads ready. Pence goes FIRST.”

“We are aware of the comments and take all threats against our protectees seriously,” a Secret Service spokesman told Fox News on Saturday.

The threats to the vice president come days after a pro-Trump group stormed the U.S. Capitol to protest the formal certification of President-elect Joe Biden’s victory. Lawmakers, staff members and others hid under tables and evacuated as the rioters roamed the halls of the Capitol, bearing pro-Trump flags and pounding on doors.

There is currently a massive MAGA purge occurring online, as platforms and content moderators continue to clamp down on pro-Trump content.

Furthermore, during the storming of the Capitol, at least one of the perpetrators called for Mike Pence to “show himself” while standing on the congressional chamber.
