Nancy Pelosi Uses Ridiculous Logic to Defend Fat-Shaming President Trump

Oh, is that so Nancy?

There was a point in time, not so long ago, that our elected officials were considered exemplary citizens who were elected as much for their abilities as for their tact.  Judging by the behavior that we’re seeing on Capitol Hill these days, those days are long over.

Instead, what we’ve been left with are a plethora of self-serving attention hogs who are readjusting their demeanor daily, (if not hourly), in order to land a few soundbites on whatever mainstream news station best fits their assumed persona.

In the case of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, things have taken an undeniably petulant turn, as the octogenarian Congresswoman last week referred to President Trump as “morbidly obese” – an insult that suspiciously did not receive much flak from the liberal community who has repeatedly attempted to chastise the Commander in Chief for fat-shaming in the past.

Pelosi has now had the audacity to defend her comments.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) on Wednesday doubled down on calling President Donald Trump “morbidly obese,” claiming that she was dishing out “a dose of his own medicine” that was “factual,” yet “sympathetic.”

“I didn’t say anything about the president. I gave him a dose of his own medicine,” Pelosi said during in her weekly press conference when asked about her jab about the president’s weight. “I was only quoting what doctors had said about him and I was being factual in a very sympathetic way.”

If you believe that, there are plenty of real estate developers with acres upon acres of swampland to sell you.
