NY Governor Cuomo Claims Trump Moving to Florida for Legal Reasons
The absurdity of Cuomo’s statement was no surprising, given his track record of insulting Donald Trump.
President Trump, after spending his life so far as one of the Big Apple’s big kahunas, is planning to retire, (after his presidency, of course), to the Sunshine State.
That’s right; Teflon Don is heading to Florida, officially, after the White House, officially changing his legal residency just days ago.
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, the White House, is the place I have come to love and will stay for, hopefully, another 5 years as we MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, but my family and I will be making Palm Beach, Florida, our Permanent Residence. I cherish New York, and the people of…..

But longtime Trump opponent and New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has a different idea about the reasons for the move.
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Friday revved up his attacks on President Donald Trump for changing his primary residency from New York to Florida, calling it a “desperate legal move” to avoid the release of his tax returns.
“The fight will continue, and I think it is a desperate legal move where he’s now going to argue ‘Well the state should have no right to my taxes because I moved out, I’m a Florida resident,'” Cuomo said on MSNBC. “That’s besides the point. When you filed your taxes, you were a New York resident. If you defrauded the state, you defrauded it when you are a New York state resident.”
The move also prompted a little fun rom Rep. Matt Gaetz on social media, where the ever-popular #FloridaMan was again trending.
“Florida has never had a President. Now, with @realDonaldTrump moving and @GovRonDeSantis soaring, we may have two back-to-back,” said Gaetz, who represents the Florida Panhandle. “That’s one helluva way to end a slump.” #FloridaMan

President Trump had been splitting his time between NYC and his Mar-A-Lago resort for some time, making the move seem somewhat inevitable.
