Ocasio-Cortez Says 73-Year-Old Dem Senator Is ‘Generational Change We’ve Been Waiting For’

If you voted for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in 2018 or plan to in 2020, you’re doing politics wrong.

In other words, it’s time to think things over. Like, everything you’re doing in life.

On Thursday, Rep. AOC said Senator Ed Markey was the “generational change” she has been looking for.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) believes her fellow Green New Deal author, 73-year-old Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA), is the “generational change we’ve been waiting for.”

The freshman congresswoman made the remark to reporters on Thursday when asked for her thoughts on the primary challenge Markey will face for his Senate seat in 2020 from Rep. Joe Kennedy (D-MA). Ocasio-Cortez, who is actively backing primary challenges to moderate House Democrats, praised Markey as a champion of progressive values.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, on the Kennedy-Markey primary, just now:

“Sen. Markey is the generational change we’ve been waiting for.”

To be clear, AOC is very aware that Ed Markey is older than Joe Kennedy.

“Generational change is about issues,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

“Generational change doesn’t mean ‘elect whoever is younger.’”

Ocasio-Cortez continues to show she knows so very little of which she speaks.

This time, she responded to former Florida governor, current Florida senator, Rick Scott.

Scott shut her down hard.

It all began with 2020 contender Sen. Cory Booker’s (NJ) thoughts on creating a federal license for gun owners.

LOOK:

Sen. Cory Booker is rolling out a sweeping gun control agenda that includes requiring licenses for all gun owners, as well as more standard proposals such as universal background checks and banning assault weapons

Scott’s tweets:

🚨BREAKING: the latest terrible idea to come out of the Democrats’ 2020 primary is a federal gun registry. If you want to buy a gun, @CoryBooker wants you to register with the federal government.

This would be scary if Booker had any chance of becoming President. (1/2)

What’s next? Will we have to register sharp knives? Maybe @AOC will make us register every time we buy meat as part of her #GreenNewDeal.

The Democrats are officially the @BernieSanders Party. They want America to be less prosperous and less free. (2/2)

Enter Ocasio-Cortez, who doesn’t get it:

That a sitting US Senator can say something lacking so much critical thinking + honesty is embarrassing to the institution.

If you were a female candidate, maybe you’d be called “unlikeable,” “crazy,” or “uninformed.”

But since you’re not, this inadequacy is accepted as normal.

Finally, Scott brings the thunder:

That a sitting Congresswoman doesn’t understand sarcasm would be embarrassing to the institution if you hadn’t embarrassed yours to the point of irrelevance already.

America rejects socialism and will continue to.

As you’d imagine, AOC was left speechless.

Ocasio-Cortez recently said about the Department of Veterans Affairs, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

What’s weird is that everyone seems to agree, for years now, that the VA is wildly broken.

In a surprising twist, President Donald Trump actually agrees with AOC.

Well, he agrees with her in his own way.

LOOK:

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is correct, the VA is not broken, it is doing great. But that is only because of the Trump Administration. We got Veterans Choice & Accountability passed. “President Trump deserves a lot of credit.” Dan Caldwell, Concerned Veterans of America
