Pelosi Pounces, Makes Mockery of ‘The Squad’ in New Book

The Democratic civil war is back on, folks.

When it comes to the Democratic Party in the 21st century, it seems as though there is a fairly obvious civil war brewing within the organization, and opponents of the progressive mindset have been playing it up for years.

The issue is that the younger members of the party, who lean far more to the left than their establishment counterparts, are beginning to gain traction among the voting blocs needed for Democrats to remain relevant at the national level.  Ergo, the radical left has been able to hold the party at large hostage, and push their wild agenda on the public masses.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a longtime member of the Democratic Party who doesn’t ascribe to these ultra-progressive beliefs, is so annoyed with this turning of the tide that she is now blasting some of the most popular figures on the far left.

Veteran journalist Susan Page of USA Today profiled Pelosi (D-Calif.) for her upcoming biography “Madam Speaker: Nancy Pelosi and the Lessons of Power.”

According to a preview in Axios, Pelosi took on the voice of a child while speaking about Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), the 31-year-old self-declared socialist who has caused trouble for the powerful, 81-year-old speaker after taking office in 2019.

“Pelosi unloads on the Squad, at one point adopting a child-like voice when discussing Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez,” Axios reports.

Pelosi “offers the Squad this blunt advice: ‘You’re not a one-person show. This is the Congress of the United States,’” according to the report.

AOC and Pelosi have clashed in the past, with former President Donald Trump having thrown gas on the figurative fire during his first term, insinuating at length about Pelosi’s supposed subservience to the radical left.
