Political Violence in Portland Leaves One Dead; Conservative Group Mourns Victim

Unbelievable.

On Saturday night, the city of Portland, Oregon was the scene of something horrific and un-American.

In the streets, protesters and counter-protesters – all of whom have been radicalized by the mainstream media – warred with one another, leaving at least one American dead.

It began when a caravan of anti-Antifa counter-protesters rolled through the streets of Portland, macing protesters and shooting them with paintball guns.

It wasn’t long before the violence escalated, and tragedy struck.

The founder of Patriot Prayer, a right-wing group whose supporters have frequently clashed with left-wing protesters in Portland, Oregon, said Sunday that the man fatally shot in Oregon’s largest city was a supporter of the group and a “good friend.”

Joey Gibson, head of the group based in Washington state, said he was also in Portland on Saturday night when supporters of President Donald Trump clashed with Black Lives Matter protesters in the streets of downtown. Gibson arrived at the scene of the shooting shortly after it happened and was briefly corralled in a nearby gas station by angry protesters.

“I can’t say much right now. All I can do is verify that he was a good friend and a supporter of Patriot Prayer,” Gibson said of the shooting victim in a text exchange with The Associated Press. He said he would make a fuller statement later Sunday.

The incident came after months of mainstream media hyperbole on the subject of Portland’s protests, with infotainment industry personalities both downplaying the legitimacy of the peaceful protests that occur during the day, and excusing the violence that comes at night as inevitable.

Now, people are inevitably dying because the media has pushed us to the brink of Civil War with one another.
