Portland Riots Continue as Combatants Attempt to Breach Police Building

Will Portland ever return to normal?

While the nation’s attention has been fixed on the impeachment fiasco in Washington DC – which stems from the tumultuous events of January 6th’s storming of the Capitol – there is plenty of other violence to be aware of in America.

For instance, in Portland, Oregon, where months upon months of continuous protests have taken place, with the calamity ticking ever upward in recent days.

The latest from the Pacific Northwest city is simply disturbing.

Rioters are attempting to break down the door of the Portland Police Association, law enforcement said on Wednesday evening.

“A protest has developed near North Lombard Street and North Campbell Avenue, where participants have tried to break down the door the Portland Police Association,” the Portland police tweeted. “We are monitoring the situation.”

There was more:

“To those participating in the protest, this direction is being given over loudspeaker: stay on the sidewalk, do not try to break into the building or violate any other laws. If you do you’re subject to arrest and/or use of force including less lethal weapons.”

Video of the protesters was shared by journalist Andy Ngo, who has long been following the developments in Portland.
