Russia-US Tensions Flare with Bolton Blasting Kremlin’s Venezuela Presence

President Trump backed Bolton up with a stern statement of his own.

Despite what the mainstream media may be telling us all, there is a real Russian menace out there for Americans to be aware of.

Of course, we do know now that the Russians did attempt to interfere with our election in 2016 – a prime example of the nefarious and clandestine ways in which the Kremlin operates.  Luckily for the US, a lengthy investigation by Robert Mueller seemed to remove the doubt surrounding President Trump’s alleged Russian “collusion”, allowing many Americans to breathe a sigh of relief.

In other parts of the world, however, Russia continues to meddle in global politics…sometimes brazenly and openly, and other times from the shadows.

For instance, in Venezuela, Russian military assets are amassing as the once-wealthy socialist country continues to devolve into utter chaos.

National Security Adviser John Bolton ins’t having it, however.

“We strongly caution actors external to the Western Hemisphere against deploying military assets to Venezuela, or elsewhere in the Hemisphere, with the intent of establishing or expanding military operations,” White House national security adviser John Bolton said in a statement.

“We will consider such provocative actions as a direct threat to international peace and security in the region,” Bolton added.

The Russian assets in Venezuela were given a peculiar distinction by The Kremlin in hopes of staving off criticism.

Russia said on Thursday it had sent “specialists” to Venezuela under a military cooperation deal but insisted they posed no threat to regional stability, brushing aside a call by Trump for Moscow to remove all military personnel from the country.

As far as the President is concerned, the Russia threat in South America is a very real one.  Trump has gone as far as to say that “all option” remained on the table when it came to removing the Ruskies.

For many, the tensions will be seen as yet another sign that a New Cold War is upon us.
