Television host begs long shot 2020 democrats to stop ‘wasting their time’

The democratic civil war is lurching forward, as 2020 looms on the horizon.

As the whirlwind of the 2020 election continues to gain strength, many in the media are beginning to lash out at the disorganized mess of candidates before them.

With at least 24 democrats currently running for the party’s 2020 presidential nomination, the left has an unprecedented problem on their hands in how best to deal with the unwieldy crowd.  The DNC itself has already begun culling the field, limiting the first set of debates to only twenty of the candidates, with the event taking place over two nights for the sake of allowing ample airtime for those involved.

Still, there are concerns over just how diluted the democratic field will become over the next few weeks.

That’s why Samantha Bee is imploring many of these candidates to just give up.

Bee began by using the example of Montana Governor Steve Bullock, who is currently polling at 0.4 percent, behind the likes of Tulsi Gabbard, Julian Castro, and John Delaney.

“With 20 candidates set to take the stage, you’d think that the Democratic party is just letting anyone in, but in reality, there are some candidates who didn’t make the cutoff, such as Montana governor and the man who will sell your house today, Steve Bullock,” Bee began. “Bullock is currently polling around zero percent because no one knows who the [expletive] he is.”

Then came Bee’s plea.

“Bullock is just one of many Democrats wasting his time in a presidential race who could be way more useful running for something else,” Bee complained, adding: “You’d think people would be lining up to run for Senate.”

The former Daily Show actress went on to make similar requests of several other low-polling progressives.

The current front runner in the race, former Vice President Joe Biden, has run into trouble on the campaign trail as of late, allowing the surging Senator Elizabeth Warren to make heavy inroads within the democratic party’s crowded field of candidates.
