The mass radicalization of the American political left has been a hard thing to watch.

After all, this is supposedly a nation of freedom, where your political leanings should not interfere with your own kind humanity.  We are supposed to “agree to disagree”, knowing that our democratic process will allow us to resolve our issues at the ballot box.

In many ways, this is the impetus of the idea that politics themselves are poor manners.

But today, in the Trump Era, the democratic base has shied away from such benevolence, choosing instead to profess their hatred for Donald Trump in vile and crude ways.

The latest victim of this “resistance” is Eric Trump, who was recently assaulted while eating at a public restaurant.

U.S. Secret Service took an employee of a Chicago restaurant into custody Tuesday evening after she spit on President Donald Trump’s son Eric Trump, the president’s son told Breitbart News.

“It was purely a disgusting act by somebody who clearly has emotional problems,” Eric Trump told Breitbart News when reached by phone late Tuesday evening. “For a party that preaches tolerance, this once again demonstrates they have very little civility. When somebody is sick enough to resort to spitting on someone, it just emphasizes a sickness and desperation and the fact that we’re winning.”

Last year, just days after California Congresswoman Maxine Waters implored her constituents to harass conservatives and make them feel “not welcome”, then White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders was chased from a restaurant in Virginia by rabid “resistance” democrats.

The President’s son did not press charges against his assailant.
