As coronavirus cases continues to surge here in the United States, the battle over how best to prevent its spread continues to evolve.
This is because, thanks to the mainstream media, every single issue in this great nation of ours has been imbued with political consequence…no matter how apolitical the issue is. The reason that the infotainment industry does this is to divide us into easily-advertised-to segments that are appealing to the corporations who buy commercial airtime on their networks, thus fueling their drivel.
In the case of coronavirus, this complex health and safety issue has been pedantically boiled down to the issue of wearing a mask. If you choose to wear one, you are identifying yourself as someone who believes that COVID-19 is an issue that needs addressing. If you refuse to wear a mask, then you’ll be labeled a conspiracy theorist from the far right fringes of the political spectrum.
Again, this makes little sense as the coronavirus is a non-partisan virus…as are all viruses.
Yet, still, the world is getting heated over the issue, with even Tom Hanks weighing in with some venom on the subject.
Hanks said, “I don’t get it. I simply do not get it. It is literally the least you can do. And if anybody wants to build up an argument about doing the least you can do, I wouldn’t trust them with a driver’s license. I mean when you drive a car you have to obey speed limits, you got to use your turn signals, you have to avoid hitting pedestrians. If you can’t do those three things, then I get it. You shouldn’t be driving a car. If you can’t wear a mask and wash your hands and social distance, I got no respect for you, man. I don’t buy your argument.”
Hanks had previously diagnosed with COVID-19 along with his wife, and has since made a full recovery.
