Trump Communications Director Explains the Polling Trickery Being Employed by Leftist Media

There is a cure, however, and we can administer it at the ballot box.

Politics has always been a dirty game, that is certain.  But something about the way things have played out in the last several years seems to indicate a fairly nasty turn toward all-out war.

The mudslinging and muckraking is at an all-time high, at least in terms of the modern political fracas.  We still haven’t had any duels, so that’s a plus, but we began the Trump presidency with accusations that the New York business mogul was actually some sort of double agent working for the Kremlin.

The vitriol has truly only gone downhill from there…and that’s saying something.

Now, as Donald Trump continues to seek reelection, the leftist media and the pollsters they cavort with are up to their usual bevy of dirty tricks – as explained by an insider from the Trump 2020 campaign.

National polls on the 2020 presidential race are meant to “suppress the enthusiasm” of President Trump’s voters, Tim Murtaugh, director of communications for the Trump reelection campaign, said Saturday in an interview a hundred days from Election Day.

“They are trying to create a narrative, and these polls are designed — this is why they are released and published — they’re designed to create headlines, and they are actively trying to suppress the enthusiasm of President Trump’s voters,” Murtaugh told Sirius XM’s Breitbart News Saturday with host Breitbart News Political Editor Matthew Boyle.

And Murtaugh had the evidence to back up his claims as well.

Murtaugh pointed to two recent CNN and Quinnipiac polls, which had a sample of only 24 percent who identified as Republicans. “Twenty-four percent — less than a quarter of the country. That compares to Republican turnout according to exit polls in both 2016 and 2018 of 33 percent, so they’re undersampling Republicans by 9 points in that poll,” he said.

“They just no longer exist? They just wiped out more than a quarter of Republicans and said, ‘OK, here’s the poll.’ Well of course it shows that Joe Biden is ahead. But we know that there is enormous enthusiasm on the president’s side,” he added.

Of course, these sort of political illusions are only effective when Americans allow them to be, and voting, no matter what outcome may seem certain in your mind, is the only true way to keep our Republic alive.
